Obscurity

rising white mist
the vague form of someone
glinting amber eyes
winds shift
here today, gone tomorrow
winds of time

poetry
an old groove
can't get out
just like Capricorn 2

the mist
hides it from sight
the inevitable question
why?

hide-and-seek
I hate hide-and-seek
upfront
why can't everyone be upfront
less confusion
world is a mess of confusion

The past
The present
The future!
child of time
even she is confused
more muddled than muddy water
orderly words
marching down the side
not obscure at all

Saturday DCM with Judy
just like that

obscure -- how I hate that word

I am no writer
people believe in me
but how can they
when I don't believe in
myself?
I used to hate poetry
with a passion
still do
don't I?

questions asked
never answered
no one really understands
like me

margins here, margins there
ha.  I'm screwing up
as usual
this looks funny, don't it?
screw the grammar.

Tired -- tired of fixing
tired of trying to fix everything
other people's lives
problems -- mistakes
I can't even fix my own
just like the country
simplicity never existed

white rose better than red...
gotta find that poem again

need a map
can't give it to you
poetry instead

it's just me
I can't change
I try
I do try to be like
them... but I
can't

clusters?  galaxy of
stars
constellations aglore
I can't even spell
anymore

no connections, sorry
things are too much of
a mess
no arrows pointing the
way

Alex told me to stop, sorry
I can't -- no emergency
brakes
I'm running out of room
looks like when I let
loose, I really let
loose -- maybe

Future, shmuture
People make their own future
Things change -- but
your destiny never does.
