A Storyteller's Reflections
Life inspires in so many ways.  In many of the stories I write, I find myself drawing upon my own life's experiences for inspiration.  The spark of a memory has inspired whole stories, such as "A Token of Love," while in other stories, small scenes described in a short story actually happened in real life, as in "The Wager."

Regardless of where a story comes from, I am proud that I am able to reflect my daydreams, my inspirations, and my fantasies onto paper, transcribed into words.  I love writing, and I love the feeling of tremendous satisfaction that comes with each completed work.  Above all, I love the absolute freedom that comes with creation.  I am bound by nothing except the limits of my own imagination.

I hope you enjoy reading this young storyteller's reflections as much as she enjoyed writing them.

"Four of A Kind"
Technically my first short story! :)  Non-fiction anecdote about a poker game on the Amazon, a "personal essay" that reads more like a short story

"Jen"
An acting agent is persuaded to sponsor a young woman with a blemished past (actually a less glamorous story than I just made it sound... my first short story assignment)

"In From the Night"
A dark stranger stumbles into a startled woman's kitchen... (extremely short, page-length)

"A Token Of Love"
A small girl yearning for her father's love and attention receives a gift from him, and grows up just a little bit more

"The Pamplemousse Grille"
[Non-fiction] Whimsical "slice of life" anecdote about an elegant restaurant written by a bemused observer

"Guardian Angel"
A man destined for Hell is sent to Heaven instead.  (Please see the following note from the link to "The Wager")

"The Wager"
A Messenger of Despair receives his next assignment... he is to become a Guardian of Hope.  (Note:  this story is a actually complete rewrite of "Guardian Angel."  I wasn't happy with "Guardian Angel", so I took a blank page and just started writing again.  The basic underlying plot and themes are the same, but the scenarios and events that lead up to the finale are different.  If you read one story, you'll spoil the ending for the other... but they still remain two extremely different stories.  If you read both, please write me and tell me which one you liked better!)
